The other day I needed to call a JavaScript function only when a certain condition is not true.

My daughter loves to make a big pile of books and then bring them over, asking me to read each one. This means I might read ten or so books in one sitting to her.

For the first time in almost ten years, I effectively wrote no posts in the past month. The only post I did write was my standard monthly book-reading post:

August was a big month reading-wise. It’s almost as if I was trying to make of for all the prior light reading months.

I’ve been busy, but not with this blog. Here are the August 2024 statistics.
